Installation and Commissioning of Vibrating Sample Magnetometer
The VSM packing box is made of plywood, there may be unprocessed rags on the body of the plywood, so please wear gloves for protection during disassembly. Check if the box is damaged, water seepage, liquid leakage, cracking, or screw loose before unpacking the box.
1. Assembly of vibrating system (excluding vibrating rod).
◆ Firstly, connect the vibrating head and its connecting piece.
◆ Then, install the limit wire rope.
◆ Next, remove the dust cover, and install the vibration rod’s protective sleeve.
2. Position adjustment of electromagnet and vibrating head frame (including vibrating rod).
◆ Firstly, adjust the electromagnet to be in the horizontal;
◆ Then, adjust the vibrating head frame to be in the horizontal;
◆ Next, re-adjust each of the leveling feet separately and make the vibrating head frame to be in horizontal;
◆ Then, make sure the vibrating head frame is in the horizontal again;
◆ Finally, install the vibrating rod.
3. Monitor Installation
◆ Install the monitor’s mounting panel and screws inside the cabinet;
◆ Monitor stand is aligned with the screw protruding from the cabinet, and it is tightened;
◆ Two screws on the upper back of the monitor are screwed in half;
◆ Place the monitor at the position of the stand’s half-slot holes;
◆ Mount all the screws on the back of the monitor.
4. Wiring Connection
◆ COM/USB cable connection;
◆ OSC•OUT cable connection;
◆ M_INPUT cable connection;
◆ H_INPUT cable connection;
◆ Electromagnet’s earth wire connection;
◆ Electromagnet’s power supply cable connection;
◆ Cabinet’s three-phase cable connection;
◆ Connect water pipes between the chiller and electromagnet.
5. Calibration Process
◆ Start up the VSM equipment, and adjust the vibrating status;
◆ Preheat the VSM equipment;
◆ Zero Setting
◆ Installation of standard nickel ball sample;
◆ Adjustment of Nek area;
◆ Test of magnetization curve;
◆ Calculation of new calibration coefficient;
◆ Test the magnetization curve again;
◆ Compare the measured values of special saturation magnetization.
6. Sample Test Operating Procedures
Optional operation
Connection of high temperature furnace and vacuum pump
Connection of high temperature furnace and water chiller
Installation of low temperature furnace
