Testing principle of the VSM Magnetometer
VSM Magnetometer is a new kind of magnetic measurement device that is based on induction and development together with modern electronic technology. The principle of the VSM instrument is putting the samples into a stable magnetic field, then making the samples vibrate cyclically in a small scope compared to the detection coil, so we can get a signal that can form the proportion with the tested samples in the magnetic moment, then we large the signal, detect the electromagnetic of the signal and make it into voltage signals.
The VSM instrument has already been used in the research on the magnetic of the materials for it is of high adaptability, high sensitivity, high accuracy and high convenience. The VSM instrument is used in laboratories and factories universally as a basic means of magnetic measurements.
Test methods of VSM Magnetometer:
Manual measurement: The computer will lose the function of control after we click the key of the manual. The Modulation to zero, Phase Shifting, Time constant and Sensitivity will all be controlled by the keys on the board.
Online measure: The phase of the system is locked automatically, and it will become zero automatically after we click the key online. The Time constant, Phase shifting, Sensitivity, Strength of the magnetic field and the number of scans of the digit magnetic moment unit are all controlled by the computer. The measurement will finish automatically. Data Acquisition and Data Amendment, Hysteresis loops of the materials, Magnetization curve, Warming Curve, Warming /Cooling curve, Cooling curve, the changes of the temperature as time goes away, Magnetic energy product curve and the Demagnetization curve will be shown on the screen of the computer or be outputted by the printers. All the parameters of the Magnetic Properties such as Coercive force、Magnetic energy product, the Max of the Coercive force, Residual induction and susceptibility Will all be shown directly.
Main functions of DXV-60 VSM Magnetometer
The VSM magnetometer can be used for the measurement of the basic magnetic properties of magnetic materials. Such as the Hysteresis loops of the materials, Magnetization curve, Warming Curve, Warming /Cooling curve, Cooling curve and the changes of the temperature as time goes away, then we will get some Magnetic parameters such as the Saturated strength of the magnetization, the left strength of the magnetization, Coercive force, the Max of Magnetic energy product, the Curie temperature and the Magnetic conductivity(the Initial Magnetic conductivity is included ). It can also measure magnetic materials such as powder, particles, films, liquid and the massive.
The VSM instrument can also measure the changes of magnetic with the changes of temperature.

1. Electromagnet:
The electromagnet is a type of adjustable Double-conjugated or fixed Gap. It will be placed with a 45-degree angle ground.
The strength in the center of the magnetic field: 0.5T at 40mm Air gap.
2. Steady Flow Power
The power is the automatic conversion DC Power which is of high stability, steady voltage and steady flow. The scope of the power is from 2 to 30KW. In the state of the steady flow, the current that Steady Flow outputs are continuously adjustable in the rated scope.

3. Vibration System
It includes a vibration head, Vibrating frame, sample room and detection coils.
4. Magnetic measurement unit
◆ The scope is among “300emu”、 “150emu” 、“80emu” 、“40emu”、“30emu”、“15emu”、“8emu”、“4emu”、“3emu”、“1.5emu”、“800memu”、“400memu”、“300memu”、“150memu”、“80memu”、“40memu”、“30memu”and “15memu”.We can change it among the figures.
◆ There are several scopes of the strength of the magnetic field. 0.5kOe”、“1kOe”、“2kOe”、“4kOe”、“8kOe”、“16kOe” and “32 kOe” . It can be shown through the Four semi-LED digital control. The resolution is 0.1mT. The relative accuracy is superior ±1%.
◆ The output power of the Vibration source is 185Hz. Frequency stability is superior 10-5. The output power is more than 50W.

The front board of the VSM is formed of LCD screen, Films keys and the Power switch. (As shown in the figure)
The state district can be changed by the Portfolio of the upward key, the downward key, the left key, and the right key.
The Equipment parameter configuration
Measure the Hysteresis loops of the pure Nickel samples, then make the measure file into Hysteresis loops.
The functional description of the command button in the User interface:
In the user operation interface of the measurement, the sketch of the establishing region of the command button.
It supplies 3 manners of the curve of the measured samples: "Fast Test Curve of M(H)", "Measure hysteresis loop" and "Measure magnetization curve".
"measure warming curve " "measure warming/cooling curve " "measure cooling curve" and "show the change of the temperature as time goes away". Move the mouse to choose the type of measurement curve.
It will supply "Draw magnetization curve", "Draw Hysteresis loops", "Draw Demagnetization curve". "draw the warming curve", "draw the warming/cooling curve", and "draw the cooling curve". Move the mouse to choose the corresponding curve drawing type.
This region will appear when there aren't any files while disappearing in the process of the test and when opening the files. The hardware list and the folder list are in the left region, while the files list of the folder to be opened is in the right region, then choose the curve types which are needed to draw. Then double-click the name of the file to be done. So we can draw then.
Notice
1. No- electricity operation when installing the equipment.
2. Electromagnet and electromagnet power belong to strong electric equipment with high voltage and high current. Non-professional and technical personnel will not be allowed to change the relative lines or to Demolite the relative equipment. In the process when the equipment is working, it is forbidden to touch all the Line Connections with the strong electricity of the electromagnet.
3. Please do as the operation method in the manual when using the equipment.
4. The detection signal lines of the magnetic moment, the output lines of the hall head, the signal lines of temperature input, the cable for communication, the output lines of the vibration source, the output lines of the control of the temperature and the output lines of voltage-increasing will all not be allowed to plug and to pull freely.
5. Be careful to install the samples. Don’t damage the samples.
6. In there are any error messages in the process of use, please check whether the lines are connected right. Then do the operation steps in the manual strictly.
7. The equipment has already been through the Unit test and the software test. If there is any fault or the result is not accurate, please do not demolish the equipment or change the lines.
