Principle

 

TSDC thermal stimulation current is a short-circuit current generated when a dielectric material establishes or depolarizes a polarization state during heating. The basic principle is to clamp the sample between two electrodes, heat it to a certain temperature to excite the carriers in the sample, and then apply a DC polarization voltage. After a period of time, the sample is fully polarized so that the carriers can move toward the electrodes. Drift or dipole is fully oriented, then immediately cool down to a low temperature to "freeze" various polarizations, and then heat up at a constant rate, and at the same time record the depolarization current of the sample short-circuited by the galvanometer as a function of temperature, that is The TSDC spectrum is "frozen" and then heated at a constant rate. At the same time, the depolarization current of the sample short-circuited by the galvanometer is recorded as a function of temperature, and the TSDC spectrum is obtained.

1. Eliminate the influence of network harmonics on acquisition accuracy

Power grid harmonics are high-order harmonic components other than fundamental voltage and current that exist in the power grid. The root cause of harmonic generation is due to nonlinear loads. When the current flows through the load, it does not have a linear relationship with the applied voltage, forming a non-sinusoidal current, thus generating harmonics. 2. Eliminate the influence of measurement wire impedance and internal shielding in high temperature environments.

  •  The transmission line is affected by its material and structure. When transmitting weak signals, the characteristic ratio of current and voltage at each point in the conductor. Impedance inconsistency (mismatch) will lead to certain errors in measured data. Therefore, measurement wires with better impedance matching must be used during the measurement process;
  •  The measuring wire also has a certain impedance and frequency response, so shortening the measuring wire will greatly improve the measurement accuracy;
  •  Measuring wires in high-temperature environments cannot be better shielded. Most of them are only insulated. The resistance of high-temperature wires increases due to the influence of temperature. High-temperature wires are required to be shielded by insulating parts (such as ceramics, refractory materials, etc.) A part of the capacitance will be introduced into the measurement, increasing the measurement error;
  •  The measurement method adopts three-electrode measurement, which will have a better shielding effect.

 

3. Optimize the sample temperature testing method and measuring electrode.

  •  Through the measurement principle of parallel plate electrodes, it can be better explained that the measured electrode should be as small as possible to reduce the influence of space and stray capacitance. The best way is to sputter a layer of conductive material on the sample.
  •  Due to the different thermal coefficients of different materials, there is also a certain error in taking the temperature measured by the thermocouple close to the sample as the temperature of the sample. If a reference sample is used for measurement, the temperature of the sample is the true temperature of the material.
