Biot-Savart apparatus
Instrument Components:
The instrument consists of a Biot tester, a high-current constant current source, a highly sensitive sensor, a circular ring to be measured, a long straight wire to be measured, black aluminum rails and brackets, and a translation stage.
It contains an imported, highly sensitive core device for measuring weak magnetic fields, ensuring high measurement accuracy. Its intuitive and clear structure makes experimental operation simple and easy.
Experimental Contents
1. Measure the magnetic field strength at the center and axis of conductive rings of different radii, as well as the magnetic field strength of a long straight wire;
2. Verify the Biot-Savart law.
Experimental Objectives
1. Measure the relationship between the magnetic flux density induced by a straight conductor and a circular conductor loop and the current flowing through the conductors;
2. Measure the relationship between the magnetic flux density induced by a straight conductor and the distance from the conductor axis;
3. Measure the relationship between the magnetic flux density induced by a circular conductor loop and the radius of the loop and the distance from the loop.
